Can you take both Tinctures and Supplements together?Updated a year ago

The health benefit between the two methods of herbal supplements are similar, but there are a few differences. Tinctures are the purest form of an herbal supplement, using a traditional and gentle extraction method that retains the most of the whole herb’s composition. And without the need for added fillers to support the capsule manufacturing process and with nothing needed to encapsulate the herb, tinctures are more bioavailable, allowing for a quick and efficient absorption.

Capsules, particularly ours which will be comprised of highly potent herb extracts, have concentrated active ingredients, rather than a whole herb composition. These products go through several processes that tinctures do not, such as being encapsulated and may need to have fillers (like our natural rice flour) in order to ensure the product can flow through the manufacturing process and be encapsulated.

Both provide incredible health benefits, and truly the main difference is preference in method of use. Capsules can be easier for people to incorporate into their lifestyle, or their familiarity may be an appeal. Tinctures are more holistic and naturally produced - and if certified organic products are important for you, then these are the products for you.

Additionally, you can absolutely do both at the same time. For instance, a capsule in the morning while you’re getting ready to start your day, and maybe a tincture added into your tea makes your night the best it can be - that is great way to fit both methods of herbal supplements into your lifestyle.

The body knows best though so pay close attention to any adverse effects, like an upset stomach or maybe just feeling a little unwell. This could indicate that an individual is taking too high of a dosage with their supplements. Everybody is unique and may have different needs, medications, and health considerations, so it’s important for people to pay attention to how they feel when adding anything additional to their dietary routine. Make sure that if you experience any of these adverse effects to talk to your doctor.
