How are they made?Updated a year ago
Herbal tinctures can be made a variety of ways, including in the comfort of your own home. For Plant Therapy’s first launch of products, the process is as follows:
Cold macerated milled botanical materials are soaked in water and sugar cane ethanol.
They stay this way for a minimum of 3 weeks.
The solution is then hydraulically pressed and filtered through a 50-micron mesh filter.
What results is the pure liquid tincture.
We do not make our tinctures in-house. We partner with experts in the field who understand the science and art of herbal extraction and have decades of hands-on experience and training in traditional techniques coupled with modern empirical protocols, current phytochemical understanding, and strict attention to quality control. They are produced at an FDA-Registered facility.
All botanical ingredients and the alcohol used are USDA certified organic.
