Why are some oils good for both pregnancy/nursing, and yet some are specifically good for one or the other?Updated a year ago

We prioritize the safety and well-being of our customers, especially during the precious stages of pregnancy and nursing. In consideration of the limited research on the extent to which essential oils cross the placental barrier, Plant Therapy takes a cautious approach in recommending oils deemed safe for use during pregnancy. While there are certain oils we advise against using during pregnancy, they can be safely used during the nursing phase as they no longer pose a potential risk to the baby through the placenta.

It's important to note that some essential oils may affect milk supply or may not be safe for infants, which is why we recommend avoiding their use during nursing. Our commitment to providing accurate and responsible information aims to empower you in making informed choices for your well-being and that of your little one. If you have any further questions or need additional guidance, our team is here to support you every step of the way.
