Will Supplements or Tinctures work faster?Updated 10 months ago
Both tinctures and capsules are very effective and it is really comes down to personal preference.
Potency Differences: Tinctures may have a more rich compositional structure compared to capsules because the extraction process for tinctures captures the widest range of compounds from the herb they are extracting. However, many capsules have standardized active compounds at a guaranteed amount. Both have high potency, but the amount and identity of compounds may differ slightly.
Bioavailability: The alcohol in tinctures serves two purposes in that it has already broken down the herb for the body and the alcohol helps the active compounds enter the bloodstream quickly when ingested. Our capsules include herbal extracts as well, but the body does have to filter out the fillers when used as well as break down the cellulose capsule shell.
Precise Dosing: It’s easy to control the dosage amount with tinctures. Capsules have a set dosing per capsule, meaning you cannot take less than what is in the capsule.
Long Shelf Life: Alcohol content gives tinctures a 3-4 year shelf life. Supplements are a shelf life of 2 Years.
Versatility: Tinctures can be added to foods and drinks, making them a great alternative to pills. However, capsules can be easy, quick, and discreet to take any time of the day without preparation.
In summary, The alcohol extraction in tinctures make them easier for the the body to absorb effectively compared to using capsules. Both can provide terrific therapeutic benefits, but it will still come down to personal preference!
